TRADOC - a crucial part of BiH integration

Last updated: 22/02/2011 // The Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) situated in Travnik has since its beginning successfully trained more than 5500 military personnel. This number constitutes more than half of BIH’s current armed forces, and the contribution made by TRADOC is as such a pivotal one.

The Norwegian Embassy has supported TRADOC with IT-equipment, as well as with donations to the military bases’ library. In a briefing held by Col. Robert Susac he expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Norwegian Embassy: “Generous educational donations from Norway truly help [the BiH Armed Forces] achieve military readiness. The electronics, computers and reading materials we have received assist in improving the professional development of the soldiers under my command. TRADOC is committed to conducting realistic combat training, and the field manuals that are being written will facilitate this training. English language training is increasing with each passing year, and we also have the capacity to train hundreds more soldiers than before."

As a further token of the Norwegian Embassy’s support for the work being done at TRADOC, Ambassador Braathu donated a book package containing Norwegian classics and famous contemporary works to the military base. During the handover the ambassador also praised the work performed at the military base in Travnik: “The work you do here at TRADOC is absolutely crucial to meet NATO standards, and it is also crucial for the further development and integration of BiH armed forces.”
