Norway supports climate change awareness-raising in Trebinje

Tuesday 27 September the Embassy witnessed the presentation of new and climate friendly technology in Trebinje.

A new bicycle rack has been installed at the premises of Jovan Ducic school. In addition to providing students with a place to park their bike, the solar powered rack also lets the students charge their phones and use free WIFI.

The Embassy supports the project Building a Green Image, which is run and co-financed by the city of Trebinje. This project aims to raise awareness about climate change and the possibilities to use clean energy sources. The main focus of the project is to raise awareness among public company employees and upper-secondary school children. The solar panel powered bicycle rack and a solar bench, both of which provide free WIFI and USB outlets, form part of this project.
