Mayor Hrnjic expressed his gratitude to the Norwegian government and Norway for their work in the municipality through several water projects such as Norplan. Hrnjic pointed out education as one of the most important segments in a society and uttered the important work of Nansen Dialog Centre (NDC) in Jajce’s secondary school. Hrnjic explained that the municipality would like to become an active player in the work of NDC in Jajce by providing support to the project.
Ambassador Braathu stated that education sector is extremely important across Bosnia and Herzegovina, but unfortunately not enough priority has been given to this segment. This can be a very dangerous consequence because lack of knowledge and understanding leads to problems. The Norwegian Embassy is willing to provide support and help along the way, but Braathu reaffirms that only people who live in Jajce can deal with their problems and not people from the outside.
