Ambassador Lilloe has served in the Norwegian foreign services for 35 years, and arrived directly from her previous post as Consul General of Norway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will be Ms. Lilloe’s eight foreign posting. Having served as a senior advisor in the Section for Western Balkan Affairs in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2004 to 2006, and as Chargé d’affaires a.i. in Skopje in the period 1999-2002, Ambassador Lilloe already has some knowledge of the region.
“The steady growth in relations, friendship and cooperation between our two countries is a source of great satisfaction to the Norwegian government and people” says Ambassador Lilloe, emphasizing that Norway stands ready to do its part in supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s endeavours, not the least in their progress towards euro-atlantic integration. “The main responsibility for the transition process currently underway naturally falls on the authorities and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina” says Ambassador Lilloe. Norway will, however, “continue to be a consistent contributor to the process of reconstruction and reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina” according to Ms. Lilloe.
