O`Horten is a drama focused on a life-changing moment in 67-year-old train engineer Odd Horten's existence: the evening of his retirement. The moment the train leaves the station without him he realizes that the path ahead is a journey without printed timetables and well-known stations. With death as a metaphor, the film draws a melancholy and humorous portrait of an aging man in situations most people probably will not get into, but hopefully will recognize.
