The Norwegian ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mr. Jan Braathu, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Delalic for his promotion of Norwegian literature in Bosnia-Herzegovina by joining him on his book promotion in Zenica and Tesanj on 16. – 17. April 2008.
The Bosnian author Munib Delalic fled to Norway in 1993 due to the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) and has since actively worked on building a strong cultural bridge between BiH and Norway. The book “North from everything” is a result of the author’s long devotion to Norwegian literature. A total of 33 essays are presented in the book and includes both oral and written Norwegian literature.
39 authors, who worked in a relatively broad time period of about 170 years, are represented within the written literature. This period is considered the time of growth for Norwegian literature. With such a concept, the book might provide valid insight in the most important causes of this Norwegian literary growth; it could even represent a small history of Norwegian literature in a way.
H.E. Mr. Jan Braathu stated that Norway is privileged to have Munib Delelic living and working in Norway because he, in the best way, contributes to cultural bridging between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Norway.
