Once again the Norwegian Embassy participated in the annual International Literature Festival in Tuzla. This time with an even bigger focus on Norwegian literature and a donation of a Book package: A collection of 26 Norwegian books translated to local languages. The festival itself took place from September 3rd to September 6th 2009.

Mr. Munib Delalic has translated several well known Norwegian books into the Bosnian language. The book “North from everything” is a result of the author’s long devotion to Norwegian literature. The publishing of the book is supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Sarajevo .

Per Petterson's novel "Out Stealing Horses" has won the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize 2006. There were six finalists competing for the prestigious award, and Petterson's novel described as a moving tale about feelings, isolation and the painful loss of innocence took home the GBP 10 000 prize.
