Doing Business in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Although there is no official classification of economic regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country is divided into five economic areas according to  historical, economical, social and cultural relations.

The five economic regions in the country are Northwest Region, Northeast Region, Central Region, Sarajevo Region and Herzegovina Region. Through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, investments have been made in sectors of infrastructure, energy and finance, as well as supporting small and medium local entrepreneurs.

Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to attract and maximize the flow of foreign investment in the country, promote a positive image of the investment possibilities and Facilitate the interaction between public and private sectors.

According to The World Bank and The International Finance Corporation, Bosnia and Herzegovina is located on the 119th place in 2009 in a ranking on the ease of doing business, where regulation in 181 economies has been compared.
