The International Baccalaureate Initiative and United World Colleges are with a proposal of creating a regional centre at Mostar Gymnasium, with educational excellence for South Eastern Europe, to overcome segregation in the education sector and to create confidence within the local community. This is done by attracting teachers for regular trainings and scholarship students from the region motivated by the ethos and ideals of IBO and UWC.
By establishing a living demonstration of a world educational system which is valid and acceptable for all national communities in BiH and thereby creating a convincing model for wider educational reform in BiH. The project would at a later basis expand itself to Druga Gymnazium, Sarajevo, and the Gymnazium in Banja Luka.
