Justice Reporting.

This project should contribute to peace and democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina by strengthening understanding of the justice process, particularly the continuing work of the International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The project produces unique in-depth reporting and analysis from the courtrooms of The Hague, as well as field reports from the region, and widely disseminates them via local media and international broadcasts throughout the country to reach a wide public audience. Through editorial mentoring and support, it provides unique practical training to establish a long-term network of media professionals expert on justice issues. In partnership with local human rights and expert groups, it organizes public events to support dialogue and debate about the complex but essential legal processes and the implications of those results. The impact is to increase the level of information, debate and support for the ICTY and other justice processes, and thereby strengthen the support for long-term justice and reconciliation in the region.
