Support to Secondment of UN Coordinator Office in BiH, Mr. Thomas Vanke.
The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has supported the Secondment of UN Coordinator Office in BiH, Mr. Thomas Vanke, for the period 1. January to 1. July 2007. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to grant the equivalent of EUR 43 387,03 (approximately NOK 335,000).
The transfer is earmarked: Norwegian contribution to the UN Coordination Officer. The contribution shall cover all expenses related to the secondment of Mr. Thomas Vanke for the period 1. January to 1. July 2007.
The purpose of the Coordination Analyst post is to assist the UN Resident Coordinator in:
• Implementing the UN Reform Agenda on country level
• Enhancing UN agencies co-operation on thematic and project basis within the UNDAF Framework and the Donor Coordination Forum
• Facilitating information flow both within the UN-system and towards external counterparts
• Supporting the strengthening of Government capacity in aid coordination
• Responding to all initiatives that require joint UN actions
• Participate in UN thematic Working Groups
• Follow up of the ongoing donor mapping exercise
• Work related to the Mid Term Review 2007
