Ongoing Projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Each year Norway supports several projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The objective for the assistance to the Balkan countries is to support the governments’ decisions of integration with European and North-Atlantic structures. To this end, Norway yearly provides USD 120 mill, included USD 20 mill to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2006 and USD 17,3 mill in 2007. The priorities are to strenghten the democratic institutions, supporting economic and political reforms, support business development, enhance respect for Human Rights, fight against corruption and crime and improve the regional cooperation. Also, significant support is yearly granted for demining.
