The aim of the project is to utilize information and communications technology (ICT) to generate employment, foster entrepreneurial activity, build a more competitive workforce, attract more foreign investments and promote the expansion and competitiveness of BiH small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The project should be closely linked to the Innovations Centres in Tuzla and Banja Luka funded by the Norwegian Government, as well as competetiveness projects in BiH initiated by the USAid. Local and international companies will be involved and the activities coordinated in line with the National ICT Strategy and Action Plan in BiH. The Education Development Center (EDC) is responsible for the implementation of the overall project using its experience from similar projects elsewhere in the region. The period of performance for the project is two years, from September 2007 to August 2009. Funds will be trenched each of the years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
