The Norwegian Embassy participated in the commemoration together with war veterans and partisans on the Day of Victory over Fascism, the 9th of May. The Partisan graveyard in Mostar, which was the location of this event, had in April 2006 been vandalised with swastika drawings and nearly all the tombstones had been smashed.
